Digital Notetaking

This session will lead teachers through lessons that support students in the process of report writing skills in the digital age. 
Students learn to gather information, cite references, outline and write a report using electronic tools.  This process alleviates “cut and paste plagiarism”, teaches outlining skills by taking advantage of technology gathering techniques, incorporates mind-mapping and provides student accountability.

Presenter Biography:

Mike has been providing professional development and in-service to teachers for over 20 years.  He has taught from elementary to the post graduate level and has a wide range of experience to draw upon to provide enriching workshops for all.  With 12 years as a Technology Coordinator for a large school district and running his technology consulting business Mike has many insights on ways to integrate technology. 

His sessions are interactive, entertaining and full of “nuggets” on technology use.  His website TECHcetera.ca provides online support to educators around the globe.
